ACME Cats Mission Statement: We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of special needs and senior cats often marginalized or deemed ‘unadoptable.’ Focusing on cats with mobility challenges, including those with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) and amputations, we provide compassionate, lifelong care and enrichment indoors and outdoors to ensure these cats thrive in health, happiness, and dignity.

The Bastrop County African American Cultural Center idea started as a “mustard seed” in the minds of the Board of Directors in 2019 one year before the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. These early founders’ goal was to build an African American Cultural Center in Bastrop, Texas. Those in attendance were descendants of the original 13 Freedom Colonies of Bastrop County Texas along with interested parties. The purpose then and now is to bring about cultural awareness of minorities and specifically the contributions of African Americans to the history of the United States of America.

Bastrop Pride's mission is to create and grow community for LGBTQIA+ members, their families, their friends, and allies and raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues in Bastrop County, TX and the surrounding area. We're here to celebrate all that makes us unique and all that brings us together.
