Family Crisis Center
The Bastrop County Women’s Shelter, dba Family Crisis Center, started in 1981 from a coalition of rural Texas women with a shared vision of offering hope, support, and assistance to women victimized by domestic violence. Since becoming an incorporated nonprofit in 1983, the Center has evolved into a community leader in rural Central Texas. FCC has provided services for over 40 years, offering victims of domestic and sexual violence, safety, shelter, and advocacy; a milestone made possible by the enduring commitment of the Center’s clients, staff members, volunteers, donors, and community partners, both organizations and individuals.
